Mr Jacob Mwaluda Kipongoso is a co-founder Tsavo Heritage Foundation and secretary to the Founders Board, he also doubles up as the Executive Chairman of the Board of Management Tsavo Heritage Foundation. He has been the foundation secretary to the Founders Board from the organisations inception to date. Among his many achievements is the mobilisation of key conservation and actors within the Tsavo Ecosystem and Dispersal Areas (TEDA)to a roundtable to discuss and rollout the development of Tsavo Restoration masterplan, a project of the Foundation led by the PS Ministry of environment.

 

Prior to his engagement with the Foundation, Mr Kipongoso was the Founding Executive Director Taita Taveta County Development Forum, during the term over which he led the development of the Taita Taveta Unity Guide. The guidelines were developed using a participatory methodology to guide the delivery of the devolution dividends by the inaugural Government of Taita Taveta County. During the Tenure at TTCDF Mr Kipongoso was one of the key actors in conjunction with the International Budget Partnerships and The commission of Revenue allocation that was instrumental in developing participatory guidelines for the operationalisation of the County Budget Economic Forums a key pillars of the county Governments. Mr Kipongoso also has had extensive working experience in the Hospitality industry holding various position at various organisation over a ten-year period raising to CEO Twenzetu Africa K Ltd after having a short stink of Three Years at Kilele Afrika, with posting in Moshi, Arusha and Mombasa as the business development manager Kenya. Mr. Kipongoso previously worked in the Democratic Republic of Congo as the Logistic director of DAS’COB SPRL based in Eastern Congo coordinating organisations operations between DRC and Other East African Nations.

 

Mr. Kipongoso Studied Animal Production and Range management at Egerton University Njoro, prior to which as was mandatory in the late 80’s he attended a paramilitary boot camp at the NYS School Gilgil. Mr. Kipongoso started his education at St Augustine’s primary school in Mombasa before joining Mwakinyungu Full Primary school Taita and proceeding to Kwale High School, Kenyatta High School – Mwatate, and finally Lenana School Nairobi.
